The presentation of historical elements; the desertion among militia and regulars, the dilemma of pacifist groups like the Quakers and Mennonites, the conditions of hardship at Fort George for soldiers’ families as well as the soldiers, the tensions arising from billeting American troops- these themes were insightfully represented.
