2012 Lamplighter Tour
Flames Across Lincoln
"The Lamplighter program of 2012 was not only entertaining, but historically informative.
The presentation of historical elements; the desertion among militia and regulars, the dilemma of pacifist groups like the Quakers and Mennonites, the conditions of hardship at Fort George for soldiers’ families as well as the soldiers, the tensions arising from billeting American troops- these themes were insightfully represented.
The audience felt the human drama, right here in Niagara, of these conflicts and ambiguities that war always brings.
What a delightful and satisfying evening."
